It took me quite a while to find the walnut slab that I wanted to buy for my desk project. The folks at urban slab and timber were amazing to deal with. They were patient, helpful, and went out of their way to provide assistance with my project. I could not have achieved the results I did without them and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I had been looking for a live slab of walnut for a big screen TV. I came up on Urban Slab and Lumber. Spoke with a very knowledgeable young woman by the name of Clohe. She said they had a few slabs that would work for my application. I went up to Irvington and met three generations of wood workers. I loved their story and business model. These people didn't just cut down trees to sell the lumber. They actually repurpose trees that have needed to be taken down in the Omaha Metro. This the name Urban . I chose a slab. It has some unique features, but in the raw state it was hard to imagine. Clohe and fathee Ben, showed me a picture of a finished sister piece. It looked gorgeous. I knew I had to have it. Sure enough a couple weeks later after significant preparation on their part I got a finished piece. I had purchased some legs from Flowy Line and they complemented the slab very well. I would highly recommend the personalized service that you get from all three generations of wood workers and crafters at Urban Slab and Timber. I will attempt to attach pictures in all of the states. Hats off the Clohe, Ben, Trish and Phil. Thank you for making my apartment beautiful!!

We spent a good deal of time with Chloe. She is very knowledgeable and fun to work with. They have an amazing variety of wood slabs -many with live edge. They are also able to build many items if requested. They are a well kept secret, you do not want to miss this place!! Prices are more than fair!! We love the wood we found for our mantle.

Great shop selling high quality live-edge slabs locally sourced from our urban forest. We were able to select a nice spalted sycamore slab that we made into a hanger for guitars.

My sister and I took a class at Urban Slab and Timber with KiWiKi Designs, learning how to make a live-edge charcuterie board coated with resin in a galaxy/nebula design. The class was very well organized and taught, and even as beginners, we were able to produce beautiful pieces. It was a really fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Stunning amount of selection from pre-cut slabs large and small. Price was much lower than I expected for the quality of wood available, and all of our questions were answered respectfully and thoroughly! For new starting DIY'ers, this is seems like an excellent starting point for resources and knowledge. We will be coming back frequently
