Great place to stop and walk around. Has an awesome selection of fishing and hunting. A must when we come to Omaha. Area has hotels and restaurants in same complex so easy to stay in 1 place to spend an evening. Safe area too.

Dickie in the fishing dept is wonderful. He helped me get 2 pole combo setups and told me some pointers and places to go. ( 70 yr old beginner) Talked me out of stuff I didn't need. Not unreasonably priced and just the best set up for a novice. Plus he juggled helping 3 different people at once, smoothly. Dicke has my vote for being knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. A valuable employee!

Walked in on Saturday afternoon, was greeted right away which was awesome. I was looking for a camping chair and I got over to that section and didn’t see what I was looking for. I was looking for someone to help me and nobody was around. I walked up to the boat counter because I didn’t know. First words out of his mouth were “How can I help you with your boat” I just walked away because it seemed like he only assists in boats. Another employee walked right by, and I said “Hello” the person walked right by me with no word and not willing to help or ask If I needed help. Clearly I did, I walked out and bought a chair off Amazon rather give my business there.. By the way, we ran into a person trying to sell us hotels in Branson MO that was very pushy. We said we weren’t interested over and over again but she kept coming back. Super awkward. I think her name was Tami.. Not impressed at all..

Good range of outdoor items, with most things catered for. Including flasks, clothing, fishing equipment. Restrooms available. A walk through fish aquarium near the entrance and some rather strange models in the store which although make it interesting, I don’t think a bear killing a seal is the best thing to have on display for kids. Otherwise not a bad store if you need that sort of thing

I agree with the people selling time share near the center animal Display. Asking for a free trip and I politely say no with my kids and the same lady gave me dirty looks two times because I know there is a catch and don’t want to give my personal info. Also in 2025 / maybe 2024 that stopped selling minnows FYI, they only have night crawlers and red worms which are usually always healthy good quality. Love the aquarium. Usually only go to fishing section and the gun section. Store always clean and stocked pricy but always a fun visit.

Cabela’s earned a reputation as “the Walt Disney of the Outdoors”. I was in this store for the first time many years ago. Only corn field around. Many many people from all over. It is still great. The reputation is still the same, great store. You can buy anything and everything for your outdoor vacation. Small thing, it was raining, and in few places roof is leaking.

Cabela's in general was great, but I'm not a fan of a gentleman who is trying to trick us into a timeshare. Apparently Cabela's owns a timeshare near Branson and this guy stole my attention for a good 8 minutes and I only had a very small amount of time to spend. He was polite and I am also polite so it was hard for me to get away from him. We wanted to look at the large centerpiece in the middle of the store with my child ..but what we were unable to do it because of that gentleman.

I really want to like this store, it has an awesome selection of everything. That being said I can't stand being there, every time I go there is someone at the door trying to get me to sign up for a credit card and two more employees will stop me shopping to offer again. I simply will not go back to a place filled with predators.
