I am thrilled with the reupholstery job Unique Short Tree Design completed for me! My dated yellow sofa is now a gorgeous and timeless green velvet classic!! I appreciated the time Tammy spent with me at the beginning of the project - she had fabric sample books pre-selected and we spent a lot of time deciding on color, wearability, style etc. Tammy is very knowledgeable about furniture, and shres her expertise to help with your decisions. I felt she knew exactly what I wanted. The finished product is everything I hoped for! The workmanship is awesome - piping is straight, tucks are perfect and consistently sized, and even the nap is one way directional. Tammy said my seat cushion stuffing did not need replacing, and her honesty saved me money on the project. All in all I am sooooo happy with my new green velvet sofa!!! I definitely recommend Unique Short Tree Design for your upholstery needs!

In July 2023, we had 2 mid century modern chairs reupholstered which turned out great. While we had a vision in mind, Unique Short Tree Design team consulted with us and provided great ideas which we greatly appreciated. Padding was replaced and chair legs were painted. We are very pleased with how the chairs turned out. Also, it was mentioned during the consultation that they are able to make custom pillows, which we took full advantage of for another set of chairs. We are highly satisfied with how these pillows turned out.

I have a mid century modern chair, my mother purchased when they were closing the old Hilton Hotel on Washington Blvd. In Detroit, MI. She has since passed away and the chair needed a lot of loving. I saw the ad about Unique Short Tree and that they had upholstery classes. I signed up. Tammy, Steve and Dylan are phenomenal. They instantly recognized the year and model of the chair. We stripped it down to the bare wood and the frame was in excellent condition. They helped me select the fabric, which they had and we put our heads together regarding the piping, which Dylan suggested, and it is perfect. This family knows what the are doing, and they were so kind and patient. The results: ugly duckling to a beautiful swan. By the way, they not only teach classes, they will also reupholster your precious antique pieces and everything modern. I highly recommend Unique Short Tree, and I have, to others. I can’t thank Tammy and her team enough for helping me bring my vision for our living room furniture to life!!! She not only reupholstered two large chesterfield chairs, she also helped us make our custom ottoman to match!!! Then whenever we had an issue with any thread (pandemic supply issue not their issue) they personally came out to my home and repaired anything that required it.
