The Offutt Thrift Shop is one of the best, if not *the* best, thrift store in the Omaha area. It's well-organized, well-stocked, and well worth the trip. Prices are very reasonable (and are automatically marked down on a transparent schedule the longer an item goes unsold) and inventory rotates frequently. Proceeds from this thrift shop go toward scholarships for military spouses and children, which are selected and dispersed annually. Because donations come in from military families that have lived all over the world, you truly never know what you're going to find there. And unlike other stores, they don't run out of "all the good stuff" before you get there. I've found many very specific baking pans I was looking for, large mirrors, costume jewelry, books, coats and more, that I can never find anywhere else. Limited access sometimes means more availability of what you're looking for. I stop in often and encourage others to do the same. 🙂
