This is a place where a beginner in woodworker should start, they have your A,B C parts from beginning to the end ,I went in for a specific item, and lt was there, now I could of gotten it from Amazon about 30%cheaper,but hears the thing I've been in construction a long time and needed a hobbie,in wood working what im paying for is the knowledge that I can call back or go and meet staff that's had years of experience an a understanding what you want to do thru out the project, and I buy from them cause they know what I'm attempting to do, buying a piece of mind not to shabby

What a terrific store for newbies and seasoned professionals. They have a great selection of tools (power and hand) and fairly decent prices. They have plenty of wood to select from, although the prices are a bit much for a weekend hobbyist like me. The staff has always been pleasant with me and done their best to recommend selections that both meet my budget but are still quality. They seem to know plenty about the craft and I would trust their feedback/advice on most questions I have. Now I just need some more time and money.... ha ha ha.

This is a great place full of experts to chat about a project or just chat. Good selection. Prices are a little higher than other vendors but still with in range. Also sales are great.

When I entered the store, the employee was behind the counter talking to a customer so I found what I was looking for on my own. I took my item to the counter where the employee and the customer were still talking. The employee started to guide the customer to the back part of the store, but the customer, seeing me ready with my wallet, told the employee that he could go ahead and help me as I just had a small purchase. The employee totally ignored what the customer said and totally ignored me - like I was invisible. They proceeded to walk around the back of the store while I waited at the counter for 10 minutes. They eventually made their way to the front door. As the customer was leaving, another man walked into the store and the employee immediately asked that man if he could help him find something. I was still standing at the counter with money in my hand. He never ONCE acknowledged me. Even as I left my item on the counter and left the store empty handed. I will never go back and I will buy my items online. Or maybe I will send my husband - I'm sure he will get great service.

Absolutely amazing store. As a local woodworker myself, this is hands down the best woodworking store for S4 in the area. Due to it being S4 the lumber is a little on the pricey side but there's definitely a fantastic selection. On top of their vast amount of lumber they have a plethora of tools both for rentals and purchase. There's hand tools like chisels and power tools like thickness planers. It's worth a stop in at least to see what they offer and maybe learn something new. I give 4 stars simply because they don't have cuts other than S4. If they offered S2 or S3 to cut the price down, they'd be my only lumber supplier for exotic hardwoods.

I was so excited to find this place and even more so when I saw all the classes they offer. After calling to put an order together however, I now can't help but wonder if they're always so condescending or if it's because I'm a woman. Maybe I caught the guy on a bad day or its just one bad employee, but my excitement has been replaced by disappointment. I may give them another chance, but I'll probably just order from an online retailer in the future and find somewhere else to take classes. Super bummed- I really thought I was going to love this place and buy a lot of wood/take a lot of classes from them.
