I bought this gift for my husband...who is a man who has everything and he absolutely LOVES IT!! The quality of the charcuterie board is impeccable! ❤️We detailed it with my husbands face on the board and it turned out perfectly! It is a very masculine piece but also an amazing piece that we can use to serve almost anything on it! Honestly it might just have to sit out as a piece of artwork! ✨True Grit was wonderful to work with and customized the board to exactly what I wanted for my husband! Not only did he create an amazing charcuterie board but he also took the time to wrap it. ✨The piece of artwork that he created is almost so beautiful it’s hard to want to put any thing on it! I can’t stop talking about it and have many people interested in purchasing their own. I would HIGHLY Recommend all of True Grits work!

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Scott seemed very communicative at first but when I arrived at his location at the agreed upon timeframe and day, he was completely unresponsive. Door to his establishment was locked with a sign that said “appointment only.” Was not informed of this in my prior contact with him. His truck was out front, engine still warm, the back of his shop open and clearly he was working on something. Called 3x figuring he just couldn’t hear me, after 30 or so minutes of me trying to get ahold of him he finally sent me a text that “an emergency” had come up and that he’d get back to me in the afternoon. He couldn’t even be bothered to come up and tell me in person. Wouldn’t have been a big deal if I hadn’t driven 30 minutes one way to see him, but just plain unprofessional and wasted over an hour of my time. I get that things come up, but that doesn’t excuse your responsibility to communicate that with the customer.

The aesthetics of True Grit's work are great for me but like anything else are in the eye of the beholder. As a woodworker what I can say is that their work is outstanding craftsmanship. Attention to details, quality hardware, and proper techniques that will provide a lasting product are shown in their work. Would recommend.
