Unfortunately our experience working with Matt on a custom dining table thus far has been exhausting and disappointing. He is a nice guy, but feel he has been less than honest with us -- failing to communicate all that comes with each of the choices given. Having paid $4100 for this table, we expect a finished product that is fantastic quality, meets our expectations, is of high quality and is a pleasant experience along the way. When meeting him initially to discuss the custom table we were interested in him building he showed us an example of a walnut table surface he was working on for another client. We were happy with it and with the expectation paid a down payment to him for our table. The table he built was unacceptable the first time around and it took a lot of work and pushing on our part before he agreed the table top needed to be remade using better wood. We went with a more natural finish, however it was never explained that after being delivered we would still be having to apply additional treatments yourself and the table would still not be able to be used almost a month after its arrival in our house. We are still working with him to resolve this issue.

After looking around to several local furniture companies, we chose matt castilleja beacuse his furniture is beautiful and one of a kind. Plus the process was super easy. So happy!!!
