What a beautiful manor house, perfectly maintained. The furnishings and decor are gorgeous, as are the grounds. I loved that we could do a self-guided tour. Bring your walking shoes if you plan on walking the grounds. It seems you can even swim in the lake if you come prepared - on the Kellogg Manor grounds or the neighboring park. Wish we could have gone to the nearby Bird Sanctuary but it was closed Monday/Tuesday.

Visit a beautifully preserved past while touring the manor. Stories of the Kellogg family are shared on scripted signs throughout the beautiful rooms. The gardens are beautifully kept and plants identified.

My cousin rented this historic venue for her ceremony. True to its time, it is very stately and gorgeous! The walk down to the lakeshore is pretty long and winding, but there is a small road for vehicle or handicap access. The Lakeside ceremony area seats about 70.

I attended a delicious luncheon and listened to a docent explain the history of the Kellogg family and the estate. The tour was self guided and the grounds are lovely.

Lovely place to stop for a scenic walk; even if you don't tour the manor, you can walk the gardens and go down the stairs behind the manor (or the ramp next to it) and enjoy the beautiful view of Gull Lake. There are a couple small trails here and you can walk the little Windmill Island and around the cabins and caretaker's cottage and such. The manor itself is grand; the details like the tile floors and the ceiling work are amazing! They have done a wonderful job restoring this to its original splendor. You don't have to spend a lot of time here to thoroughly enjoy this--it's a great place to go before or after the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary which is just a mile or so away.

Beautiful grounds on Gull Lake, beautifully preserved historic building outside & inside with many original furnishings. The docents are so knowledgeable & pleasant. I love the original tile in the bathrooms and surrounding the fireplaces. A Christmas season must to see it decorated for the holidays and enjoy the complimentary spiced tea. The craft show is tastefully displayed in the rooms and becomes part of the decorations.

Loved coming here. Came on a motorcoach trip. Such a lovely home and grounds. Peaceful tranquility. So interesting to learn about the life of W.K. Kellogg and Kelloggs as a company. If you like things such as this, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Our tour guide did such a good job. She loved what she did and it showed.
